Jul 27, 2003· In regards to better or stronger, forged and milled can be done with the same strength, ie: neither is necessarily better. It alldepends on the process. Milling is easier for a small run shop to get right, because they canstart with a quality billet of known composition and temper.. assuming they do their part during milling (proper cooling, sharp tools) the results are every bit as strong as a forged item.
